The Capstone course for my PR degree was a Public Relations Campaigns class, in which I served as Account Executive on an awareness and fundraising campaign for a Birmingham non-profit, Laps for CF.

The fundraising component of our campaign included a live music night at a local bar. With sponsorships and ticket sales, $3,987 was ultimately raised for cystic fibrosis research.

The main event of our campaign featured a swim/dive exhibit, canoe battleship, and games hosted by UA’s mascot - Big AL. We surpassed both our awareness and fundraising goals, as the event was a huge success!
