ESTJ
Efficient Organizer
People with ESTJ preferences drive themselves to reach their goal, organizing people and resources in order to achieve it. They often have an extensive network of contacts and are willing to make tough decisions when necessary. They tend to value order and structure and getting things done.
At Work…
People with ESTJ preferences enjoy setting clear goals and deadlines and analyzing problems logically. They work best in a stable environment with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. People with ESTJ preferences are driven to move projects quickly to completion. They enjoy clarity in all areas of their working life, and if that is lacking, they will seek it out. They tend to favor jobs or careers that focus on accuracy, the bottom-line, and the efficient management of people, details, systems, and organizations, and especially those involved in data, math, or science. They naturally look to what has worked or not worked in the past, ensuring that past mistakes aren’t repeated.
Leadership…
People with ESTJ preferences make up about 21% of leaders globally, the highest percentage for any of the 16 types, while representing only about 9% of the general population. Their preferences may help them organize decision making in efficient and logical ways (common among those who prefer TJ), which can sometimes look like they are telling others what to do. However, they believe strongly in doing their duty, and perform based on that belief, rather than an expectation of getting something in return. They're natural leaders. They understand and create effective and fair principles that are unconditional, and in so doing, they perform a great social service.
Relationships…
People with ESTJ preferences generally enjoy interacting with others and they take relationship roles seriously and may be keen to fulfil them responsibly. Their partner, peers, family members, and friends will likely see them as conscientious as well as dependable.
